7 Most Exciting New Additions To Captain America: Civil War

6. Martin Freeman's As-Yet-Unnamed Character

Another excellent casting addition to Captain America: Civil War is Martin Freeman, because, well, who doesn't like Martin Freeman? He is superb as Martin Freeman in Sherlock, was a very good Martin Freeman in The Hobbit (regardless of what you think of those films), and did some surprisingly un-Martin Freeman-y things in the first season of Fargo. It's a safe bet that he will once again be playing Martin Freeman here, but that's a very good thing. He plays a certain type of role, and he does it really well. We don't know the name of his character, but we do know that he'll be some sort of government official who is involved with superheroes, and probably has a big part to play in the creation of the Sokovia Accords (the film's version of the Superhero Registration Act). Speaking to BadTaste.it (via Newsarama), he described his character, saying: "He works in conjunction with the superheroes, and certain agencies that help to tame the superheroes' power, I suppose. So you€™re not quite sure which side he€™s on. It looks a little bit like he€™s playing one game when actually he€™s playing another."
