8 Actors Who Will Ruin Their Upcoming Movies

7. Ryan Reynolds - Deadpool (Deadpool)

You have to admire the balls on 20th Century Fox. Not only are they making a movie based on an mature comic book with a strongly vocal fan-base, but they're making it with memories of their first cock-up of the character still fresh in audience's minds. Sure, Deadpool may have been green-lit on the back of the reaction to the allegedly leaked test footage, but to big-screen audiences he's the wisecracking-cum-silent assassin from the X-Men movie inexplicably worse than Brett Ratner's effort. And the recent casting announcement of Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson, the titular Merc with a Mouth, only furthers this shaky prospect- he was the actor responsible that awful take. To his credit, Reynolds has been lobbying for the film for a long time and his involvement in X-Men Origins: Wolverine is hardly the reason it wound up sucking. In fact, he's probably one of the better A-List stars for the part. But with such a dangerous mar on his filmography it's a questionable move to bring him back for this picture, which is already neutered by a PG-13 rating. X-Men: Days Of Future Past did write Origins out of continuity, and its version of Mutant X with it, but that doesn't mean audiences can just forget that it happened.
