5. Jane Is A Descendant Of Belle

A previous theory has already linked Tarzan and Frozen and now it's time to put Beauty And The Beast in the same world as the Apeman.

As they employ similar animation techniques a few Disney characters are going to look similar, although some are more similar than others. For example, Jane Porter, love interest to Tarzan, has more than a passing similarity to Belle, the Beauty who fell for the Beast; they are both brunette with a similar facial structure and even dress alike.

Coincidence? Probably, but some chalk this up to Jane actually being a descendant of Belle and her prince; the family simply at some point moved to England.

It's not just based on looks though; in the Porter's luggage there's china that looks suspiciously familiar to Mrs. Potts. It doesn't make much sense (she was reverted back to normal as the end of the film), but it's a neat nod.

To tie it all the way back to Frozen, some people suggest that The Duke of Weselton is also related to the family; the moustachioed merchant looks rather similar to Jane's eccentric father - could they be related?
