8 Most Cringeworthy Moments In 2015's Comic Book Movies

6. "It's Fantastic" - Fantastic Four

You could say that watching Fantastic Four in and of itself was a cringeworthy experience, but perhaps one of the worst examples of that came right at the very end of the movie in a scene which Fox clearly believed would be a real fan pleasing moment. In fact, their obvious desire to make it one is actually what results in it standing out as being so utterly terrible and eye roll worthy. If you haven't already figured it out, I am of course referring to the scene in which Reed and the rest of the team are searching for a name, only for Reed to declare that he's got it after The Thing refers to their new facility as "fantastic" in the most forced exchange ever. The screen cuts to black before the stretchy hero can dub them the Fantastic Four in what is also a blatant rip off of the way Avengers: Age of Ultron ended! That aside, and having this scene cut off before Reed can actually give the team a name is a major disservice to fans who sat through two hours of drivel in the hope that Fantastic Four might end with some sort of comic book faithful version of Marvel's First Family being established in the X-Men Universe. That's not the case, and this not so fantastic movie ends with a particularly forced and irritating conclusion as a result.
