8 Most Cringeworthy Moments In 2015's Comic Book Movies

5. Klaw Hates Cuttlefish - Avengers: Age Of Ultron

Ulysses Klaue's introduction should have been much more memorable than what we got in Avengers: Age of Ultron, especially with an actor of Andy Serkis' calibre in the role and the fact that it's widely believed that he'll return as Klaw in the upcoming Black Panther movie. What we got was a very strange scene between him and the twins which saw the villain spend most of his screen time rambling on about cuttlefish! Forgetting the fact that half of what he said didn't make a whole lot of sense, and the whole thing is just kind of annoying. Klaw waffling on about his fear of this frightening looking sea creatures was wasted screentime which would have been much better off being devoted to some more references to Wakanda, and this is another example of a dialogue misfire on the part of Joss Whedon. I'm not sure whether this was supposed to make Klaw appear unhinged or perhaps even threatening in a roundabout way, but it just didn't work, and his waffling statements about disco lights and cuttlefish are hard to sit through, particularly on repeat viewings of the sequel. Perhaps he should have talked about a fear of panthers, though thinking about it, that might just have been even worse than what we got!
