Batman Vs. Superman: 10 Actors Who Could Play The Joker

8. Aaron Taylor-Johnson

Granted, Taylor-Johnson (formally just Johnson) is young. At only 23, one might argue that he lacks the age advantage - and the experience - to take on a character like this one - especially as the next in line after Heath Ledger. But consider for one second that we're not trying to recast Heath Ledger, and that we're casting the Joker for a new movie series set in a brand new cinematic world, and he really makes a convincing case. He's interesting, plucky, versatile... and a bit odd. Aside from performances in movies like Savages, where he's noticeably unhinged, check out interviews with this guy and you'll see that he seems to take himself far more seriously than your average 23-year-old - to the point that it's actually a bit scary. So he already feels like a much older actor, and has even admitted that Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker directly inspired him as an actor. If the producers were ever thinking of going younger, he'd make a "kick-ass" choice.
