Captain America: Civil War - 10 Theories On How It All Ends

3. Cap Is Killed And Comes Back To Life (In The Post-Credit Scene)

It is entirely possible that Disney will give the go-ahead for Rogers to be killed off just as he is the Civil War comic, as long as they make sure everyone knows it's just temporary. Evans confirmed that he will be appearing in Infinity War - Part 1 when he revealed that he was filming it back-to-back with Civil War, so does that rule out his death in his third solo outing? Anyone who watches Marvel€™s Agents Of SHIELD will know that dead doesn€™t always mean dead, and this could well be the case with Cap. How is this possible, you ask? Well, this is where Doctor Strange comes off the bench and enters the game. With Benedict Cumberbatch set to make his bow as the Master of the Mystic Arts a matter of months after Captain America: Civil War, it is likely that his first appearance will be in a Civil War post-credit scene, and one working theory is that he will be seen bringing Rogers back from the dead. Strange certainly has the ability to perform such a feat, having brought both himself and Spider-Man back from the brink after the pair were disintegrated in Marvel€™s comics. It may well turn out that the amulet he wears on his chest €“ the Eye of Agamotto €“ is the as-of-yet unaccounted for Time Gem, one of the six Infinity Stones that allows for time travel as well as control over the past, present and future, which would be pretty handy under the circumstances.
