9. Hawkeye's Avengers: Infinity War Role - Avengers: Infinity War
Fans were disappointed by the lack of Hawkeye in Avengers: Infinity War and it was later revealed that the Avengers: Endgame scene where he loses his entire family was, at one point, set to be included in the 2018 superhero ensemble. However, that's not the only time the Russos seemingly considered giving Clint Barton a role in the $1 billion blockbuster.
As you can see from this unfinished VFX test shot, Hawkeye would have once been part of the Secret Avengers and among the heroes who arrived in Scotland to try and protect Vision from Thanos' Black Order.
This must have been from very early on in production when Marvel Studios were using VFX test shots to establish how certain scenes would play out. There was definitely room for Hawkeye to protect Vision while Captain America, Black Widow, and The Falcon were battling the rest of the Mad Titan's children and it's a shame he ended up being overlooked.
