Superman: Ranking All Lois Lane Performances - Worst To Best

4. Margot Kidder - Superman Film Series

Just as much as the late Christopher Reeve was an actor that embodied the most iconic and legendary aspects of Superman, Margot Kidder felt just as perfect for Lois Lane. She starred alongside Reeve in four Superman films, and made her Lois feel so real and legitimate. There's a delightful, free-spirited nature to Kidder's Lois, brimming with a sense of adventurous wit. She always plays her with just the right amount of sarcasm and sincerity. From her first appearance, showcasing her dazzling smile to Jimmy's camera in the Daily Planet to her sharp sense of humor, Kidder creates a version of Lois that you can't help but just adore. She's funny, sweet and tough all at once, tempering the feisty reporter with the human woman inside. You believed in her, and admired her just as much as you did Reeve's Superman. Kiddey and Reeve also had undeniable chemistry, even if the "Can You Read My Mind?" flying sequence goes on way too long. Kidder's version of Lois is iconic, just as Noel Neill's was. She was just enough on the edge of snarky to be funny, and Kidder balanced all the different aspects of the character flawlessly. In the years to come, just as people fondly remember Christopher Reeve as Superman, Margot Kidder remains just as memorable in the role of Lois Lane.
