Terminator: 10 Dumbest Moments In The Series

A coffin? Seriously?

The Terminator films, at least the early ones, are the pinnacle of their genre. Two genres, really, as they blur the line between action and sci-fi. In short, the movies are awesome. Yet, despite being one of the most storied sci-fi/action franchises of the '80s and '90s, The Terminator series has had some regrettably dumb moments throughout its on-screen history. That's not a surprise when you have a property that runs the gamut from a 100% for the original to just 33% for Terminator: Salvation on RottenTomatoes. Well, maybe just a little surprise. Just how dumb are some of these moments? Dumb enough that a few of them nearly completely derailed the franchise, tarnished its image, and left it in such a sorry state that it is still, with the upcoming Terminator Genisys, trying to recover. Genisys may no doubt add a few dumb moments of its own, but hopefully it can undo the carnage caused by the likes of Rise Of The Machines and Salvation. At least fans have some reason to hope it will. It's a film that could take things back to the beginning and make it awesome again, and not a series that makes fans nostalgic for the good old days. So lets take a took at ten of the absolute dumbest moments from the Terminator franchise.
