10. Seymour Guado (FFX)
It takes a certain kind of coldness to murder your own father, especially when he’s a well respected, much loved High Maester of Yevon and then assume his mantle, kidnapping and forcing the next best hope for a High Summoner to marry you. At first Seymour, with his soft-spoken, pristine Oxford-don voice, seems like the very image of a Nice Guy, particularly when he steps in to save the party at the disastrous battle of Mushroom Rock. But by the time we get to Macalania, Jyscal Guado’s ghost lingers just long enough to expose his son for the heartless b*****d he is.
As the story goes on, Seymour’s presence diminishes somewhat in the face of Sin, Jecht and Yu Yevon, but for the middle part of the journey, Seymour stands out as an easy to hate villain with superb voice acting that solidifies his place among Final Fantasy’s most memorable douchebags.

I must spend some time learning much more or understanding more. Thank you for excellent information I used to be searching for this info for my mission.
I agree with the entire list with the exception of sephiroth I think he should be further down the list.
Sephiroth did nothing he was all talk. Kefka on the other hand destroyed the world and killed Cid. So come on your list screams fan boy for 7.
Well, I listed his various deeds. If you’re going to call that ‘nothing’ then there isn’t really much point arguing about it. Sephiroth may have reached the top spot but it’s actually FFVIII that has the most villains in the top ten here. Does that make me an FFVIII fanboy?
Zorn & Thorn and Fujin & Raijin but no Reno & Rude?
Sephiroth is quite under-rated funnily enough, because what a lot of people don’t get is that Sephiroth started to control the lifestream and come Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, he’d corrupted half the planet and it’s inhabitants and almost pulled it off again, only to have his victory robbed from him by Zack.
Anyone who has seen Advent Children Complete can tell you he is almost god-like by that point, only defeated by the death of Kadaj’s body, but fear not, he’ll be back, now Genesis has returned at the end of Dirge Cerberus, ‘LOVELESS’ is about to get re-enacted.
