These two motleyed jokers walk the fine line between crazy, hilarious and outright evil. The fact that they're a double act, something sadly rare in Final Fantasy, only amplifies their appeal. While Zorn wears blue and speaks normally, red Thorn adopted a Yoda-esque speech pattern that made their rat-a-tat conversations all the more hilarious. While at first they serve Queen Brahne, their evolution into darker, more ruthless characters comes under the wing of Kuja as they meddle with darker magic, particularly once they've extracted the Eidolons from Garnet. It's alarming how many similarities can be spotted between these two and Batman's eternal rival the Joker. Most fans would likely overlook Zorn and Thorn in the history of Final Fantasy villains for the bigger, more significant ones, but it's their sadistic, comedic nature that make them worthy of being in the top ten.
When not writing Chris spends more time thinking about playing videogames than actually playing them and can usually be found reorganizing his Blu Ray and book collections. He owns four different editions of A Song of Ice and Fire and no, it isn't overkill. He's left the neon haze of Tokyo and Seoul for the more sedate streets of Bournemouth.
