10 Most Hotly Anticipated Video Game Sequels

9. Hitman: Absolution

Publisher: Square Enix Developer: IO Interactive Platform: Xbox 360/PC/PS3 Release Date: 20th November 2012 You might think that Absolution would be a one-dimensional experience - the singular objective being to wipe out targets, and enjoying the hunt for its simple, violent pleasures. But there is a lot more to Square Enix's assassination shooter than the joy of the kill, with a myriad of available options to off your marks, and the many-branching results of your decisions. Even better, and somewhat strangely for a sequel, Hitman: Absolution will ask a lot of even the most assured Hitman veterans, thanks to a steep learning curve and the difficulty factor that will make missions genuinely taxing. Despite the available fire-power and the diversity in kill methods, the game also rewards a more gentle approach and patience is definitely a virtue. Everything points towards this being the best Hitman title yet, and that's got to be something to be excited about. The pre-release marketing campaign has been... interesting, thanks to the presence of sexy gun-toting nuns, and that alone was probably enough for some to put their name on the pre-order list... http://youtu.be/szOYjJeHVyw You can follow all of our Hitman: Absolution content by heading over to our dedicated Hitman: Absolution hub-page.
