10 Most Impressive Open World Video Games Since 2010

8. Just Cause 2

Witcher 3
Avalanche

Just Cause 2 is one the most fun open world games out there due to the fact that the developers mastered two crucial elements: they made some of the most fun and enjoyable movement mechanics gaming has seen to date, and then allowed you to blow pretty much everything up.

One of the best aspects of Just Cause 2 is the grappling hook - a feature that makes moving around the island of Panau a joy, and has never quite been replicated. It's so easy to sink hours into the game just grappling from one thing to the next.

To add to the genius of the grappling hook, the game allows you bring your very own 80's action movie to life by blowing the hell out of everything you come across. Having so many destructible assets is not only fun but incredibly impressive to look at.

That's without mentioning just how unbelievably massive the map is. Just Cause 2 may not go down as the best game of all time, but it's impossible to argue that it's not one of the most fun open-world experiences to date.
