10 Things That Prove EA Have Completely Lost Their Way

8. Origin

EA In The Game
EA

Look EA, we know how much you want to be Steam, alright? Stop trying to branch out with a service that can't ever hope to match up.

EA pitched Origin as their own take on the service, wherein players could purchase EA games and use the system to play them. All Origin has really ended up being is wasted space on everyone's computer.

The biggest problem though, is how invasive it is.

The only reason to actually use Origin is when you're forced to in order to play EA games through your computer. It just means that EA limits themselves by not letting Steam users find their games through Steam, which doesn't make any sense whatsoever as a business move.

Why EA would choose to limit their own sales by forcing users to use a separate (and unarguably worse) system is beyond me, but it's definitely limited them and made the system much less popular as a whole. The fact that it's difficult to tell whether Origin or Uplay is worse should really say it all.
