18 Reasons 2018's Biggest Video Games Might Suck
7. It's 2018's No Man's Sky - Dreams
Why It Might Suck: Media Molecule's upcoming sandbox game was first officially unveiled back at E3 2015, but has been in development since at least 2012, yet considering how little new information has been put out in recent years, it's hard to be totally, 100% on-board with the game.
With its ambitious, creative premise and long gestation period, Dreams has already been deemed "2018's No Man's Sky" by some, who remain unconvinced that it can live up to the loftiness of its premise.
It would be immensely disappointing, but sadly not at all surprising.
Why It Might Not: Then again, Media Molecule's LittleBigPlanet games are all terrific, and it's entirely possible this extended dev time is simply to ensure the game delivers on its promise.
Skepticism about the end result is certainly justified, but stranger things have happened than a bold, long-awaited title actually living up to the hype.
