6 Video Game Franchises That Need Open World Games

2. Firefly

firefly As much as people plead for a second season of this phenomenal show, it is unlikely at best that it will ever come to fruition. The time has come to draw focus away from another televisual appearance and towards more viable options; mainly a digital 'verse inhabited by all our shiny favorite characters. An open world game of this variety would likely include a plethora of side missions, smuggling and salvage. You could have the option to create your own character or play as the infamous Captain Reynolds, taking charge of the Serenity. Hub based play would mean customizing your ship and employing a crew to journey with you. The under-explored characters and settings would be open to players to interact with, to trade, barter and brawl and the Alliance would exist as a faction to either endorse and join, or to shy away from in favor of more illicit activities.
