Assassin's Creed 4: 10 Things We Want To See

9. Desmond Getting Off His Ass

When you think about, Desmond Miles has done very little in the way of actual movement throughout the Assassin's Creed series so far; with all that time spent sat in the Animus, I'm actually surprised he can move for muscle wastage and bedsores when it comes time to Assassin's Creed it up in the present, let alone perform the extreme feats he does. Over the series, we've as you know enjoyed control of three separate historical Assassin's; Altair, Ezio and now Connor. Isn't it about time Ubisoft quit living in the past and delivered a fully Desmon-focused title set, for the most part at least, in the present day? In all likelihood, Assassin's Creed 4 will represent yet another romp back through time - it's a formula that's proved immensely successful for Ubisoft so far - but I'm of the belief that three is the magic number. Why risk running the historical settings concept into the ground when so many of us are dying to bring the fight to the modern day?
