Fallout 4: 10 Big Things That Could Ruin It

Did we all forget it's Bethesda behind this thing?

Let's face it, we all love Bethesda; they're the guys that brought you the phenomenal Elder Scrolls series - letting you unleash your inner elf in Morrowind, being genuinely floored by the opening moments of Oblivion's scenery, taking down scores of fire-breathing dragons atop many a mountain in Skyrim, the list goes on. But outside and including the Scrolls series, those rose-tinted memories you have of both them and their games are soon washed away whenever you fire one up and see the character next to you awkwardly morphing with the nearest wall. And that's without realising the video game industry of 2015 is not the consumer-pleasing land of dreams and happiness it once was either. Instead, this is a place where the big names shell out thousands to ensure only they get their hands on a certain chunk of any given game or franchise. Not to mention even the impenetrable Batman of all people is about to get put through the wringer come June, when everyone realises just how insidious Warner Bros. priced DLC plans are for every additional character you're inevitably going to want to play as. So, with Fallout remaining one of the most hyped games in history this side of Half-Life 3, and the fact that if Bethesda have been working on it for the last seven years minimum they're going to need a myriad of ways to recoup their astronomical budget - it doesn't make for the brightest of futures when you really think about it.
