What Your Favourite Final Fantasy Game Says About You

13. Final Fantasy II

Final Fantasy II Hang on, Final Fantasy II didn't look that shiny did it? Well spotted - it didn't, that's a remade port up there in the image. The original was all pixels, black screens and actually released way back when on ye olde Nintendo Family Computer (that's the NES). If Final Fantasy II is your favourite game, you were there almost at the beginning, but not quite right at the beginning. What it does mean is that you're still an uber fan - you were there for the first game that introduced the obsession with Cid; you were there to see Chocobos for the first time; you are one of the only people who know that Final Fantasy VII's airship actually gets its name from Final Fantasy II's dragoon knight, Richard Highwind. In fact, since this game never saw the light of day outside of Japan for many years, you probably played a Japanese port and had absolutely no idea what was going on.
