NBA Live 18 Review: 3 Ups & 3 Downs

Ups...

3. (Some Aspects Of) The Presentation

EA

Signing the deal with ESPN was a great move by EA Sports. Thanks to it, The One, as well as in-game menus, look really professional.

The ESPN logo sometimes jams for a second, but that's fine, the sole presence of "The Worldwide Leader" and the instantly recognizable music are a nice touch of authenticity. During the game this mostly concerns starting lineup presentation, which looks like taken directly from an actual NBA game.

Commentary is also on point, and Jeff Van Gundy really takes his role seriously, bursting with excitement after highlight-worthy plays. The same goes for Steven A. Smith and Max Kellerman, who discuss your player, nicknamed The Comeback Kid, during their television program First Take.

Other commentator Mike Breen and expert/NBA legend Jalen Rose are also in the game and they're quite okay, although not as good as the previously-mentioned pundits.
