2. It's Immediately Playable, Entertaining & Flows Well

NBA Live basketball is rather arcade basketball played by ridiculously athletic players and while true basketball fans may see it as it's main vice, others may see it as a virtue. The Defensive Assist button is really helpful when you're trying to slow down your opponent, while a very clear Shot Meter makes improving your offensive game quick and easy.

It's also not like NBA Live ignores general rules of basketball and physics and focuses solely on entertainment. At times NBA Live looks very real - even though it's mostly during plays showcasing the player's superhuman jumping abilities.

For example, the above play looks incredible, it's very natural and fluent. If a game of basketball only consisted of dunks and blocks, NBA Live 18 would be the best basketball video game out now.
