WWE 14: 10 Implications From THQ Sale To Take Two

2. WWE 2K15 Will Be On The PC

One distinguishing feature of the 2K range of sports titles is that they're for the most part released on the PC; as a result, if they in fact do start work on the WWE franchise, we can expect a return to the PC for the property. The last WWE game to be released on the PC was WWE Raw, which didn't sell masses, but had a solid critical reception, mainly because of the ability to mod the game, adding in your own entrance music and using custom skins and so on. There is a reason that THQ's WWE titles are exclusive to consoles, and that's because these sort of games indeed don't make much money on the PC; however, if 2K are content to release NBA games on the PC, we can't see any reason why they wouldn't at least take a shot at the WWE. With the greater technical and modding freedom that this would allow, as well as an online mode that would be less prone to lag, this could be a revelatory step for the wrestling game.
