1. The Rights Could Still Revert To WWE
Exciting though all these prospects are, it is important to remember that the WWE license could still revert to the WWE themselves. Though the legal intricacies are sketchy - as a lot of these details are kept under wraps - reports have surfaced that WWE may have an exclusionary clause that would allow them to default the license onto themselves in the event of THQ's collapse. While this doesn't seem likely given the reports that WWE and Take Two have practically reached an agreement, we all know the nature of business; things can fall through at the last minute, and there's always the chance the WWE will try to shop the property around to other publishers. However, given Take Two and 2K's success in the sports game field, that's incredibly unlikely, short of the companies failing to come to an agreement on money.
