10 Players Who Probably Regret Joining Man City

Ever since the takeover of the Abu Dhabi United Group in 2008, Manchester City has been an attractive destination for some of football€™s global stars, with the Arab investment company ploughing over £1 billion into the club within the first three years of their regime alone. The club€™s stadium was renamed and improved, state of the art training facilities were installed and money was no object in enticing some of the game€™s biggest names to join the Eastlands revolution. Many a player has profited from joining City in recent seasons €“ both financially and professionally. With sky-high wages on offer, and the chance to compete for the Premier League title on a weekly basis also on the table, it€™s easy to see why so many stars have flocked to the blue half of Manchester over the years. Of course, not everyone who has joined the Citizens has been a success story, however, and there€™s many a footballer who will one day glance back on his playing career in the cosy days of retirement and regard their time spent with the Citizens with fleeting disdain and regret. Whether they€™ve had a bust-up with the club or simply didn€™t make the grade, here we take a look at 10 players who probably regret joining Man City.
