There have been some great players on the books at Tottenham Hotspur over the years. When these players leave - for one reason or another, whether it be for a better offer, for a new challenge, because of injury or retirement - it's generally a sad time. In the case of some others, their departures come (or would come, assuming they haven't actually left yet) as a welcome relief for fans of the club. There could be a number of reasons for this; they might be troublemakers, they might not be good enough or they might simply be past their best, but a number of players certainly outstayed their welcome at White Hart Lane. Spurs have had - and still have - an abundance of players like this. They're players who have been on the books, receiving a substantial pay-packet for doing very little or even nothing. This article is going to take a look at those players who Spurs should have moved on sooner or, in the cases of those that haven't been moved on yet, should be moved on as soon as possible.
