Arsenal: 5 Reasons Why Arsene Wenger Should Be Sacked

5. Seven Years Without A Trophy

Arsenal It has been seven years, eight months and 27 days since Arsenal won the FA Cup, which represents the Gunners last piece of silverware. Since then, their trophy cabinet has laid bare after the team went from one disappointing season to the next. When the Quarter Final draw was made last night, the likes of Oldham, Millwall and Barnsley were all in the pot, meaning the FA Cup could, and should have represented the Gunners best shot of silverware this season. They're not likely to get a better shot at glory for the foreseeable and there is more than a feeling that Arsenal really blew their chances this season. The likes of Walcott, Ramsey and Cazorla were all dropped to the bench for the clash against Blackburn ahead of the big Champions League tie with Bayern Munich midweek, but Wenger had a more realistic shot of domestic rather than European glory and his team selection should have reflected that. How many more seasons will Wenger be allowed to go without a trophy? It is unthinkable to imagine Manchester United enduring a similar trophy drought. It simply wouldn't be allowed to happen. If Arsenal want success, they need to ditch Wenger.
