Arsenal have been one of the most inactive Premier League teams in the January transfer window so far, with manager Arsene Wenger’s only piece of business being the loaning out of three fringe players in the mould of Marouane Chamakh, Johan Djourou and Emmanuel Frimpong.
Along with the majority of the league’s top sides, Arsenal have found themselves linked with moves for a variety of players, though as of yet, nothing has quite come to fruition for the Gunners, with Thursday’s transfer deadline day looming.
One of the biggest transfer rumours surrounding Arsenal this month was the potential signing of Fernando Llorente from Athletic Bilbao. Wenger was set to battle it out with London rivals Tottenham for the Spaniard, though both were to be left disappointed when the hitman instead signed for Juventus last week, leaving the duo to look elsewhere.
We reported earlier today that Wenger has conceded that his side are short of forwards at present, with the aforementioned Chamakh being sent out on loan along with the departure of Gervinho to the African Cup of Nations.
We believe Wenger needs to sign at least one new striker this month, and here are 5 Forwards To Sign Now Fernando Llorente Is Unavailable.
