Chelsea Transfers: 5 Strikers Blues Could Sign With £37 Million Juan Mata Fee

Manchester United have had a bid, believed to have been in the region of £37 million, accepted by Chelsea for Spanish midfielder Juan Mata. Mata will undergo a medical at Manchester's Bridgewater Hospital later today while his father, Juan Snr., has flown in to England to complete the finer points of the transfer. The arrival of the 25-year-old playmaker at Old Trafford will come as a boost to suffering United fans who watched on in despair as their season ended with defeat to Sunderland last night. Chelsea fans meanwhile will have mixed feelings about Mata's exit with the attacking midfielder twice being voted the club's Player of the Year, and he was a popular figure on the terraces. But the proceeds the Blues will get for the Spaniard will help them improve in one key area - up front - and that is good news for the Londoners. Everyone knows Chelsea need a new striker with forwards Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto'o scoring just 11 league goals between them this season. Sergio Aguero of Manchester City has netted 14 in the Premier League alone, to put Mourinho's men's bleak form in front of goal into further perspective. And with £37 million now sitting in the coffers, Chelsea may well go out and bolster their forward line before the window slams shut next week. Here, we take a look at 5 strikers the Blues could sign with the Juan Mata fee.
