Chelsea Transfers: 5 Strikers Blues Could Sign With £37 Million Juan Mata Fee
5. Mario Balotelli
Could Mario Balotelli be set for an astonishing return to the Premier League before the closure of the January transfer window? The former Manchester City striker quit England last year in order to join AC Milan but since then he has become unsettled and frustrated by the Italian giant's stuttering season. Milan are currently 11th in Serie A and a mammoth 30 points off league leaders Juventus, and Balotelli is beginning to question his club future. The Daily Star claimed earlier this month the 23-year-old would be keen on a return to the Premier League and a move to Chelsea in order to revive his career. However, considering Jose Mourinho once labelled Balotelli "unmanageable, the 'Special One' may not be keen on the 'Mad One', who was known for a string of controversies during his City days and had frequent falling outs with senior figures.
