Goalkeeper: Manuel Neuer (FC Bayern) The best keeper in the German League has to be Germanys number one, although Dortmunds Weidenfeller should definitely not be seen as any type of pushover.
Defenders: Philipp Lahm, Dante (both FC Bayern), Neven Subotic, Mats Hummels (both Dortmund) The German captain is a certainty at full back, as he would be in any team in the world due to the fact that he has consistently proved himself over the years to be one of the best full-backs in the world; either on the left or right. His Brazilian teammate has been a revolution since joining the German giants, with his consistency and great attitude helping FC Bayern to their impressive defensive form this year. The Subotic and Hummels partnership at the heart of the Dortmund defense has been formidable in the past few years for the Dortmund team which won the Bundesliga title two years in a row.
Midfielders: Toni Kroos, Javi Martinez (both FC Bayern), Mario Gotze, Marco Reus (both Dortmund) Toni Kroos has returned to Bayern Munich after a successful spell at Bayer Leverkusen and proved so impressive that he has dislodged a Bayern golden boy, in Thomas Muller, from his favoured number 10 position just behind the main striker. Javi Martinezs mega-money move has added consistency and style to a central midfield alongside Bastian Schweinsteiger, who is extremely unlucky to miss out on a place in this Bundesliga starting-eleven. Gotze and Reus have stepped up their game to another level, since the departure of Kagawa to Man Utd; Gotze with his assists and all-for-the-team attitude, and Marco Reus with his goals which takes some of the goal-scoring pressure of the shoulders of Robert Lewandowski.
Attackers: Robert Lewandowski (Dortmund), Mario Mandzukic (FC Bayern) Stefan Kiessling of Bayer Leverkusen is unlucky to miss out with 18 Bundesliga goals thus far, but it is difficult to leave out Lewandowski. The Polish international is the current top scorer in the league, and his strong performances over the past few seasons have seen him become one of the most feared and sought after goal scorers in Europe. It is also difficult to leave out Mandzukic, a man who has dislodged Mario Gomez from the Bayern Munich starting line-up and has scored the goals to back up anyone who would argue that Gomez should in fact be the undisputed number one.
