Ashley Cole has been told that he will not be handed a contract extension at Stamford Bridge when his current deal expires in the summer, which allows him to sign for nothing in the summer or join another team for a knock-down price this month. It is amazing that Chelsea have washed their hands of the former Arsenal left-back who was recently heralded as "the greatest in the world" by former manager Carlo Ancelotti. He might be 32 but that would still make him six years younger than Paul Scholes and seven years younger than Ryan Giggs, who are both still plodding along at Old Trafford, proving that if you have the talent, then age really doesn't matter. And make no mistake - Cole does still have it, whatever
