Ranking Sunderland's Premier League Managers As Players - Worst To Best

6. Gus Poyet

Gus Poyet was, and still is, a beloved figure in Sunderland. It was the right time for him to depart, but the memories of Wembley and derby wins will not be forgotten by the fans anytime soon. As a player he was equally as skilled at making memories to be proud of. Poyet never actually won a league title, but he was a cup master, winning the Copa Del Ray, UEFA Cup Winners' Cup (twice), the UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup and the English Charity Shield across spells with Zaragoza and Chelsea, while he also won Copa America 1995 with Uruguay.
