Spurs Transfers: 5 Replacements For Christian Eriksen

Christian Eriksen recently cast doubt over his future at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club by hinting that he may have bigger ambitions than those currently being shown by the White Hart Lane outfit. The Danish international attacking midfield, 22, has scored 10 goals in his debut season including the equaliser in Spurs' 3-3 draw against West Brom at the weekend and has been one of the few plus points in an otherwise incredibly disappointing season for the Lilywhites. While the former Ajax man has suggested he is happy at Spurs, it sounds as though his head could easily be turned, as he had this to say about life at the club:
"I'm incredibly happy that they seem happy with me. I am very glad that they like what they see. Of course I have a dream and a secret plan in my head. But I keep it to myself. Right now I live in the moment and enjoy the success I have.
The "dream" and "secret plan" in his head could be to be playing in the Champions League next season and it will put a number of clubs on alert - indeed, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus are reportedly keen on the dynamic Dane. Spurs fans will be hoping he stays, as another season of transition is not what they want, but Daniel Levy must be considering his options should his star man force a move away from the club in the summer like Gareth Bale and Luka Modric have done in recent seasons.
