Man Utd: 5 Reasons Sir Alex Ferguson Will Be Back Before May

5. A Short Term Deal Makes Sense

Nobody's saying that Sir Alex Ferguson is going to come back and do another five or ten years at Manchester United, a long-term return would be outside the realms of reality. At 71, Ferguson was wise to step down back in May with the rigours and strains of Premier League management beginning to take their toll on even he. But a short term solution makes sense. If David Moyes is sacked now, or next week, who is going to replace him? Jose Mourinho is contracted to Chelsea, Jurgen Klopp to Borussia Dortmund, Carlo Ancelotti to Real Madrid. The list goes on. One person who is available to take over instantly is Ferguson. At least until the end of the season until United's board can find a more suitable replacement for Moyes. Ferguson could provide temporary stability to the club and steady the ship during these tumultuous times, until a Mourinho or a Klopp become available.
