8. The Undertaker - Poltergeist: The Legacy

Booker T Scott Steiner Charmed
Sci Fi Channel

The Undertaker appearing as a demon on a Poltergeist spin-off probably sounds like a match made in heaven to a lot of you. After all, he is the ultimate dead man. But anyone excited about tracking this episode should temper their expectations.

Because there's not a whole lot about this episode that makes any kind of sense.

Firmly in the middle of his Ministry of Darkness phase, Taker plays a "soul chaser" whose job is to collect final payment on any deals made with the devil. He looks basically the same as he did in the ring around this time, but with additional flame tattoos around his eyes just to really hit home that whole "demonic" thing.

So why does a demon with supernatural powers -- including, but not limited to, teleportation and self-regeneration -- need to clothesline humans in order to achieve his ultimate goal of snatching their souls? Why does he have to stab them in the heart with a mystical tree branch to complete the deed?

There are more questions about Taker's appearance than answers, including the most important of all, which is whether he actually thought this would help his career or if he was pushed into doing it by the most malevolent of all forces, Vince McMahon.
