10 Things That Could Happen In A Doctor Who Movie

A big screen adventure 50 years in the making.

It has been an absolute privilege as a long time fan of the show to see so much paid off in the past year. The Day of the Doctor started a trend, a clear message by Steven Moffat (and one he said on numerous occasions) that Doctor Who would never be the same again. There are faults, as with any media, but most fans couldn't name one episode that they've seen since The Name of the Doctor that they were disappointed by. Some were better than others, of course, but the fact is that the show has been revitalized. Now it's time to look to the future. After the events of The Day of the Doctor and The Time of the Doctor, a full series was needed to truly establish the new tone of the show, and that has come and gone. Doctor Who is striding forward, and one of the most talked about ideas for the BBC to really kick it up has been the concept of a true feature-length film. The Day of the Doctor and Deep Breath both received limited releases, so the BBC is clearly testing the waters for something much grander. True, there was a TV movie in 1996, but this hypothetical film would be on the scale of a blockbuster. What could this hypothetical movie contain though, you ask? It would have to be absolutely spectacular, a film where the stakes are high and the tension in the air is even higher. Read on for 10 ideas for the Doctor Who feature film everyone is waiting for.
