10 Times Doctor Who Was More Like Fifty Shades Of Grey

10. The First Doctor's Predilection For Spanking

Ah, the lovely First Doctor. A bit cantankerous and liable to want to stone the odd injured caveman to death but he did mellow in time, didn't he? What is not talked about so much, however, is the Doctor's love of a bit of discipline.

He carried a cane around, supposedly to aid his walking, but don't be fooled. That cane saw some service of a very different kind. The Doctor didn't earn himself the nickname 'The Oncoming Storm' for nothing you know, and one can imagine it might have been for his passion for swinging the lash a bit. Witness his whacking of a Roboman with his cane in The Dalek Invasion of Earth. That's a skilled whipper and you can see his obvious enjoyment. He's done that before.

However, if further proof be required, just remember what he said when Granddaughter Susan was being typically errant on one adventure. He promised she'd get a 'jolly good smacked bottom'. Case closed.
