Matt Smith Pudsey After the climactic conclusion to Peter Capaldi's debut series as the Twelfth Doctor, Christmas came early for Doctor Who fans last week when a preview of this year's festive adventure - Peter's first in the role - was exclusively premiered during Children in Need's annual appeal night on BBC One. The new clip featured guest star Nick Frost as Santa Claus in what looks set to be one of the Doctor's most timey-wimey yuletide escapades to date, and it also confirmed that Jenna Coleman will also be back as Clara Oswald. But before we prepare to deck the halls with boughs of Time Lord, let us first take a journey into the not so distant past... 2014 wasn't the first time our beloved hero has done his bit for charity. His past associations with Children in Need and Comic Relief have come in the form of TARDIS tea parties, episode prequels and even brand new mini-adventures, with the grand old man from time and space taking a break from his busy world-saving schedule to raise awareness and support the fundraising festivities.
