8 TV Shows That Just Wouldn't Die

6. Supernatural

Ironically enough for a show that refuses to die, Supernatural was almost never born. Creator Eric Kripke spent a decade trying to get the show made in the first place, and when it eventually did get picked up - by The WB network - had had a three season plan, which expanded to five.

Kripke was true to his word, though, with Season 5 wrapping up the main storyline and him leaving the show behind, but despite having seemingly nowhere left to go, Supernatural kept on going anyway. And going. And going.

Already the longest running fantasy series in U.S. history, it'll enter its 14th season next month, and despite falling ratings and having a further four different showrunners since Kripke left, the show looks set to keep on running for as long as its stars are around.
