8 TV Shows That Just Wouldn't Die
5. Mystery Science Theater 3000
Although it started back in 1988 and is still in active development now, Mystery Science Theater 3000 has only had 12 seasons in total, which speaks to the stop-start life it's had.
Beginning on KTMA, the series moved to Comedy Central when the former network went bust, where it ran until 1996 before being cancelled, although a feature film was produced that same year.
The Sci-Fi Network then picked it up for another three seasons, which aired until 1999, before the show seemingly died for good and was destined for a life as a lingering cult classic, until a Kickstarter resulted in Netflix bringing it back in 2017, aleit with an almost wholly new cast, with more episodes on the way.
