Following on from Fisk's ominous threat to Matt in the closing episodes of Daredevil Season 2, it's clear that both Karen and Foggy will be placed in the firing line once Fisk comes a knocking.

Just how exactly he'll implement his revenge is still unclear, with Foggy working for Hogarth and Karen having assumed Ben Urich's role at the Daily Bulletin, but it's likely to manifest on a systematic level. It was the approach Fisk took in the comics, leading to Foggy getting disbarred (Karen, at that point in time at least, didn't have much left to lose), and with both characters attempting to find a sense of normality after the events of The Defenders, the rug could soon be pulled from underneath.

Though neither Karen or Foggy were killed by Kingpin in the comics - whether directly or indirectly - the former did fall to the blade of Bullseye in 1999's Daredevil: Guardian Devil. With Bullseye said to feature, and with Elektra's presence yet to be confirmed, it could be the case that either one of Karen or Foggy falls by his hand - a devastating twist sure to intimate the danger posed by Kingpin now that he's out of jail, albeit in a somewhat clichéd manner.

Since making the leap to the small-screen in 2015, Matt Murdock's supporting cast has slowly but surely been depleted. Ben Urich was the first to go; Elektra and Stick shortly followed, and with showrunner Erik Oleson already knowing a thing or two about putting heroes through their paces, having done as much on Arrow Season 3, things could be about to get very difficult for Murdock and co.
