Doctor Who: 10 Deleted Scenes You Have To See

1. P.S.

Topping the list is this heartbreaking scene in which Rory's father, Brian Williams, discovers the fate of his son and daughter-in-law. Amy and Rory's departure at the end of Series 7: Part 1 left various threads untied and thankfully this sequence served to answer some of the post-Angels Take Manhattan questions, specifically what happened to Brian who had become something of a fan favourite since his introduction in Dinosaurs on a Spaceship.

This isn't so much a deleted scene because it would've been filmed and included at some point or another if there had been enough time to shoot it. Written by Chris Chibnall, it was simply far too good to banish to the realms of lost Doctor Who footage (and let's face it, there's already enough out there anyway!) so it was reimagined using the art of animated storylines and beautifully brought to life by its accompanying narration from Arthur Darvill himself.

It's definitely worth a watch if you haven't seen it already but you'd better get those tissues at the ready because it's pretty much downhill from the start. It's a bittersweet ending for the Ponds, though, and it's nice to get confirmation that, despite it all, they had a happily ever after in the end.
