It's been confirmed today that Missy will be returning to Doctor Who in the Series 9 two-part premiere which means that her foray into madness has only just begun. Her real life alter ego, Michelle Gomez, had previously confirmed that she'd be back with a vengeance in the new series, of course, but it's exciting to find out that she'll be playing a crucial part in the series premiere. According to Steven Moffat, who has written the episodes in question, "what brings her back into their lives is the last thing they'd expect" and yes, it's far too early to start speculating, seeing as the series isn't gracing our screens until the autumn, but that's never stopped us before, has it?! Suffice to say, she certainly got tongues wagging (in more ways than one) when she was introduced in Series 8 and her reveal as the regenerated female incarnation of the Master well and truly ripped the stratosphere of the show's fandom apart... and then some.
