Doctor Who: 8 Big Questions After Time Heist

5. Is This The Last We Have Seen Of Psi And Saibra?

Unlike Stephen Thompson's previous episode Journey To The Centre Of The TARDIS, Time Heist presented us with a pair of dynamic, sympathetic and very engaging characters. Saibra with her shape-shifting skills and Psi with his ability to hack into any computer and download it's secrets; they both certainly demonstrated their worth to the Doctor and Clara on this mission. So much in fact that their 'deaths' had a big impact and their subsequent return was a relief and not a cheap trick. Their connection to the Doctor and Clara was a strong one. They both spoke their minds, demonstrated great heroism and worked as a unit to defeat the villainous Ms Delphox. The final scene on the TARDIS, eating Chinese food and laughing at the Doctor's bad jokes felt earned and made them a great set of companions, even if was for one episode. We're hoping this is only their introduction to the show. While Saibra may have solved her shape-shifting issues, she's proven her worth and Psi could be very useful on future missions. Depending on whether Deep Breath is the last hurrah for the Paternoster gang (we hope not), could they be the next set of recurring characters on Doctor Who?
