Doctor Who Series 7: 3 Hidden Recurring Themes

Could they be giving us hints at where the season is going? Or are they completely random coincidences?

For the last several seasons, Doctor Who episodes have built up to a series finale with an overarching story line for each series. This year, Doctor Who seems to have dropped that in favor of single one-and-done episodes with very few connections from episode to episode. However, I have noticed that there seems to be some hidden recurring themes in the first three episodes of this season. Could they be giving us hints at where the season is going? Or are they completely random coincidences? Take a list at what we have spotted below and you be the judge.

1. Eggs!

Eggs? Yes, eggs. Everyone's favorite scrambled breakfast food has been mentioned or seen in all three of this season's episodes thus far. Of course, there was the great eggs reveal in Asylum of the Daleks. Eggs-term-inate! And Riddell stepped on a T-Rex egg in Dinosaurs on a Spaceship. I will admit that those could be nothing. But then, Kahler Jex's ship clearly looks like a giant egg. There is no way that this is not something. What though? Maybe it signals the return of The Master who will hatch from an egg laid by a Gallifreyan stork? Click "next" below to read the next entry...
