2. Light Bulbs
This season, everyone seems to be having trouble with their light bulbs. Just before Amy is abducted in Asylum of the Daleks, the light bulb on her dressing room mirror flickers. And in Dinosaurs on a Spaceship, The Ponds start and end the episode replacing a light bulb. And finally, the town called Mercy has lights ten years before history says they should. And there are several shots of a light bulb in the Marshall's office flickering. My theory: the Vashta Nerada are trying to take out all light in the universe so that they can feed all the time.
