17. Wilson Fisk = Kingpin

Thank God for Wilson Fisk. Just when the season was threatening to get too bogged down too much the Elektra storyline (coincidentally when Punisher was less on screen), the big bad of season one reared his big, terrifying bald head to shake things up beautifully. Fisk's "prison origin" story was a great side-step for the show, and his rise to power behind bars came with the excellent fan-baiting acknolwegement of Fisk's comic book supervillain nickname "Kingpin". It might have been a little on the nose, but it's hard not to love absolutely everything about the character. That goes especially for his fight with Punisher.
