The Flash: Ranking Every Main Character Worst To Best
5. Earth-2 Harrison Wells
It's hard to deny that Tom Cavanagh was one of the first season's major assets, and the fact that Eobard Thawne was seemingly wiped from existence in the season finale made it seem as if one big hole was about to be left behind in the cast as a result. Thankfully, though, Cavanagh returned in season two, given the opportunity to bring life to a whole new character, one who - both in the audience's eyes and the other characters' eyes - had to fight to get out of the shadow of Thawne's legacy.
Earth-2's Harrison Wells felt completely fresh, both in contrast to Thawne and the E-1 version of Wells fans had seen in flashbacks in the first season, and seeing the no-nonsense, determined man very slowly come to care for and become part of the team over the season was one of the year's many highlights. From his willingness to do what needs to be done to protect his daughter to his exhausted banter with Cisco to his emergence as yet another father figure for Barry, Wells-2 was more proof that having Cavanagh around is nothing but a plus for the show.
