2. Why Is Ra’s No Longer A Member Of The Light?

During his run-in with Nightwing, Ra's Al Ghul also revealed that he was no longer a member of The Light. Now, this is a pretty groundbreaking revelation because, as fans of the show will know, The Light is the primary Big Bad of Young Justice and has been conspiring against the Justice League and their younger companions for over seven years. While Ra's didn't have a particularly major role, he was still an integral part of the organisation, and regularly appeared on screen to consult with his fellow villains. So, what caused his change of heart?

It could have something to do with the fact that the last time he appeared on-screen was in the penultimate episode of Season 2 when The Light's meeting with The Reach went south quickly and he was fatally stabbed by Black Beetle. Of course, this would have killed any normal villain but, given that the ancient being had the Lazarus Pit at his disposal (and Ubu to help him get there), he obviously made a full recovery.

However, perhaps this was one brush with death too many for Ra's and, as a result, he decided to retire from villainy once and for all. Or perhaps his retirement from The Light and The League is down to something else entirely...
